Information You Submit
Search entries
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Randolph County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy governs its handling of the query.
Messages
Information sent by email or a contact form is retained as needed to read and answer the message. It is not shared outside the organization unless doing so is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server, analytics, and security systems may record technical details when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time of the request
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may help measure how visitors use the Randolph resource. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies, though blocking them can change how some site or partner features work.
How Information Is Used
Collected data may be used to operate and speed up the site, route a search to the selected partner, understand which Randolph County pages help readers, diagnose technical faults, prevent misuse, and display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Policies on Linked Websites
Links lead to sheriff, court, IDOC, release-record, government, and third-party search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That tracking is conducted under their policies, not this one.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be processed by search partners that handle submitted queries, analytics providers, advertising networks, and service providers needed to run the site. Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies may receive information when disclosure is compelled by a valid order or other lawful demand.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, network, or internet transmission is completely secure. This notice does not promise that a breach can never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held about them, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Some information may need to be kept for security, legal, or recordkeeping reasons. Requests may be sent through the contact page.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as practices, providers, or legal duties change. An updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after posting is governed by the revised notice.
